Genting Trip

I wish to be able to do something productive this holiday.

I'm back from my Genting trip with my friends and it was:
  1. Not that cold (global warming)
  2. Fun...We had a lot of laughs (even while we were trying to sleep) and lots to talk bout (hey...we are all girls with a lot to gossip about)
  3. Tiring...you have no idea how much energy it takes to paddle/cycle the raft-looking thingy in a race...Oh...
  4. Expensive...God!!! The things there are $$$.

Okay, we started with a little problem having had to delay our trip by almost an hour because of bus schedules. The trip up to Genting was slow and a little nauseating (i_i) Poor me~~~ Then it was the cable car...Urgh, another sickening ride. It was like stuffing us in a box, literally. Little air and mild rocking = dizzy + headache. By the time i reach steady land, I am in serious need of medicated oil... Lucky i have friends who are well-prepared (Thanks, Li Qi!).

Lunch was at a place called 'Causeway Bay' which was so expensive I was willing to go w/o lunch (French toast was already RM 9.00) After check-in, i share a room with Stephanie and Xin Wen and us 3 had the queen-sized bed...Lucky! (The other room had to be shared among 4 other ppl and had only 2 single bed). We are poor students...it can't be helped.

The next thing was the theme park...but shit, almost everything fun is under maintenance...ah....my Spinner~~I din even get to ride it. and though it was a weekday and non-holiday, the theme park was still packed...It was an 'Oh my God' moment sometimes when we saw the queue. The most fun I had was probably the water bumper moment, even though only 3 of us went (Li Qi, May and I). Hehe, dry liau ma your pants? Anyway, there was a heavy mist and slight drizzle. Nothing much left to do, so when went back indoors.

After a round of roller-coaster and a trip to the cinema to buy tickets, it was back to the hotel...did I mention it was a loooonnnnggg way to our room...Faint* Anyway, we all had a wonderful time getting ready to sneak into the casino...haha, although some looked like a wedding guest or the bride itself. The funniest thing was Li Qi being able to enter instead of Colleen. And here we thought Li Qi was sure to be kicked out immediately. Haha...May and Stephanie tried but Stephanie failed as well. I didn't even try...I guess I was scared of being asked to leave...Anyway, dinner cost me RM 30!!! It was just a pork chop and a sugar cane drink! Ah, to be expected though.

After dinner, we went to ride some of the indoor rides...It was slow and painfully long, especially the Ferris wheel (It just wouldn't stop, Stephanie was going to hit the guy anytime soon). It was back to the hotel to rest before going for the show, Night at the Museum 2.

It was 1.30 a.m. and we were tired from all the chit-chatting. Everyone felt like sleeping right in the cinema, except, the seat was damn uncomfortable and we had already paid for the show, might as well watch it.

The first show was better than the sequel...The humour was almost the same, perhaps not even as funny. And then the was the Jonas Brother's flying/singing cupids...Haha, if my frens didn't tell me I wouldn't know. It was weird...The evil guy, Akhmenrah was even funnier than Ben Stiller's character, an accomplishment for Akhmenrah and a negative for Ben Stiller.

The show ended and the 7 of us trudged back to the hotel and fell asleep (before a game of poker, that is). Lunch was a non-committal affair, I just wanted to fill my stomach in case I puke in the cable car. The cable car ride down was less nauseating but nauseating non the less. The trip ended with all of us saying our good-byes after getting down from the bus.

All in all, an experience I cherished. My first trip with my uni friends...Haha, let's do it again next semester. I love you girls!!!

Total time spent: 33 hours

Total money spent: RM 137
