The day started out with extreme bad luck. I had a choice between going to Mid Valley by car or by train. For safety, environmental and $$ purposes, I chose the KTM. My 1st thought upon getting by the ticketing counter was..."SHIT!!! Why so many ppl???" Everywhere I looked there was clusters of ppl. Especially young young things all enjoying their youth while mine dwindled into a foregone past...Good-bye youth~~~
Okay...it turns out there was an accident which ends up delaying the train, making ppl extremely uncomfortable and grouchy. I thought what the heck, wait la...what else to do. And so I waited, and waited, and waited. Ding! Finally a train was seen making its way to our platform. Everyone got up and was ready to push their way in a la Malaysian. But there was just one problem, the train itself was already packed to the brim. I knew I couldn't squeeze in (Unless I had my durian-elbow-pad) so i gave up and decided to wait for the next train. How long can it be right...especially when I see one guy trying desperately to hang on for dear life because there was no door to the train and he was just one step away from falling out.
It was a HUGE mistake to wait. It would be another 1/2 hour(the person announced it to be 1 hour, the horror!!!) before another train makes an appearance. I was sitting there and thinking whether to drive there instead because there were more sweet young things crowding the place (What is it with yesterday? Going-out-for-youngsters-day?) But alas, I didn't because the ktm station cheated me of my parking fee (RM 3) and because I bought a two-way ticket to MV. It's a lot of money to throw away. And so I wait...and wait...wait...ZzZzZz
Ding! It's finally here but Good Lord! What is wrong with the ppl inside? I am nearly squeezed to death and would have resembled a sardine if not worse. People out there, please be more considerate...try not to air your arm-pits in a cramped train, breathing down or into one's face, brush or push your a** into ppl's face or back, or try to hold the pole by snaking your way through a few person's waist, head, etc. Thank q very much...
Once I'm out of the train, it was euphoria. I could kiss the ground if it wasn't dirty and had foot prints smudges all over it. I went to the GSC to meet my friends and I had expected to see a big group waiting for me...
I found out soon enough, it was only 3 of us...Stephanie, Li Qi and myself. We bought tickets to see 'Drag Me To Hell' and decided to go lunch as Chillis.
I had a country-fried chicken and ice lemon tea. It was big and delicious but the chicken was not moist, a little dry (chicken breast, understandably). The mash potatoes were delicious and the corn would be nicer if it weren't as soft. It was good and expensive. Food was RM 24.95 and drink was RM 7.sth. Add that to a 15% tax and OMG!!! I have to starve myself next month.
Okay...the show.
Anyone out there who have sensitive ears, please refrain yourself from watching this show. The sound can render you deaf for a moment. Yes, I'm not exaggerating, it's that loud. My advice: bring ear-plugs (you will still hear just fine). It was not scary at all...comical and grotesque would be more apt. There was a lot of icky stuff coming out of the old obasan's mouth and into the main character's mouth, face, etc. The show focused on the woman but I think the old woman should have her name on the promotional poster. She was there throughout the whole show, even getting hit by a staple, getting teeth knocked out and biting the main character sans said-teeth. She was a persistent old woman, even after death, she still had a lot of things to do...Haiy, haven't she heard of RIP?
Now I must ask, is it necessary to go through all those icky disgusting stuff to be an actress? I wouldn't want to be the main character when she had all those things in her face, especially clese contacts with the obasan's dentures....
All in all, watch if you have nothing to do and wanted to see disgusting stuff spraying into another person's mouth/face. There are laugh scenes but might as well watch a comedy instead. Urgh...i'm feeling queasy now after thinking back...
Signing off.
